The spaces are linked by a sawn sandstone path that runs the length of the garden. Each shallow change in level is defined by an up-stand of corten steel. This gently weathers to a warm rich finish.
The same steel is used to form a series of sculptural panels that link the spaces together and provide a backdrop to the abundant planting.
At the heart of the garden is a square terrace, surrounded by planting and scent. At either end are covered terraces, each looking back into the garden. These covered spaces allow the garden to be enjoyed throughout the year. Toward the end of the garden is a long pool and water spout. The pour of water fills the garden with gentle sound.
The planting is naturalistic in style and uses plants that compliment and contrast the colour palette of the scheme. To add drama a number of larger leaved exotic plants have been added to the mix.
The four sculptural trees, steps, steel panels and water spout are all illuminated at night, dramatically changing the atmosphere of the garden.
