Large glazed windows slide back to reveal a lower terrace with a cantilevered cedar bench and outdoor kitchen. To one side there is a decorative panel of charred timber that provides a rich backdrop for the lush planting.
A path of silver granite sleepers winds its way through the main part of the garden. This is densely planted with many Japanese species to give a strong naturalistic effect. The appearance may be subtle but closer inspection reveals intricate details and textures.
At the rear of the garden is a raised terrace surrounded in planting. This is a secluded area for relaxation with a generous sofa and fire pit for evening warmth. Key features of the garden are illuminated at night to spectacular effect.
