Working within the context of an existing garden, the client wished to revisit the planting scheme. Together we devised a design that worked with the minimal layout and provided a setting for the client's artwork. The abstract works of artist Malevich and the gardens of Japan were a strong inspiration during the development of the scheme. The result was a bold abstract composition that was interpreted using a minimal palette of clipped Buxus and grasses all of which were chosen for their year-round interest.
